A news of our Celys biodegradable fibre and its downstream products appeared on the first page of a Japanese newspaper SENKEN Shimbun on the 16th of September 2021. Senken Shimbun is a daily Japanese fashion newspaper. It provides news, research data and new business ideas and has a great influence over the fashion trade in Japan. Its core readership consists of people involved in the textile and fashion industries and related sectors.
This is the first time that our Celys biodegradable fibre appeared on newspaper since we obtained a certificate from DIN CERTCO. In this news report, a Chinese textile manufacturer, Jiangsu Danmao Textile, was reported to be using Celys staple fibre to develop a series fabrics for Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics on 9 – 11 October 2021.
Celys fibre feels like cotton, is moisture wicking and dyeable with either disperse or cationic dyes. In addition, its moisture regain is about 1.6-1.8%, significantly greater than that of ordinary PET fibre, which improves its wearing comfort.
Celys is able to be used in a wide range of applications, such as not only T-shirt, underwear, denim, shirt, suit, sweater and stuffing, but also functional sportswear and sawing thread, etc.
Since this report, we have received many inquiries from Japanese companies who showed their interesting in our Celys fibre. We expect more inquires coming in the near future.
